It is finally settling in that I am home and home for quite some time. This is such a good feeling, you have no idea!
Today I went and met up with my friend Alex. We went and did some last minute Christmas shopping in town and fell upon this AMAZING American Diner which I think has just opened up. I ordered a hot dog, which was super yummy, and we shared a butterscotch milkshake. It was like drinking pure ice cream. Sooo gooood.
We wandered around the shops and I was constantly keeping my eyes peeled for a party dress that I could wear on New Years Eve. I had previously bought one, but it was in the Black Friday sales rush and so I didn’t have time to try it on. I wish I could say it was too big, however when I got it home I couldn’t even get the dress over my hips! As sad as it was, I had to return it. I’m sure they should start putting more zips in garments!
Anyway today I found the perfect dress (the silly thing is is that it was in the petite section of Miss Selfridge AND a smaller size than my other one) sizing makes no sense… But I liked this one better so in the end it all worked out well.
I would show you a picture but I might save that until nearer the time… But definitely check out the Miss Selfridge sales, they have some gorgeous items in at the moment.
When I got home I decided to unpack. I always hate this job as I accumulate so much at uni, that when I come home I find I have no space in my wardrobes for it!
Look at how jam packed they are – and that’s not all of my clothes yet! Streeesss…
Anyway, I feel so much better for sorting my unpacking out and getting everything back in their right places again. My mind is somewhat more at ease.
I’m seeing a couple more of my friends tomorrow to give them their Christmas Pressies! I can’t wait to catch up with them, I haven’t seen them in ages and they’re both so ace! Home is treating me well… I hope you’re ll having a good run up to Christmas too x
