It is Christmas Eve… I can’t believe Christmas has come round so fast, but I’m super excited and thought I would share with you what I’m wearing to our family get together today.
It’s all very much river island. My dress is from there (but I got it quite a few years ago, so I don’t know if they still have it!) and so are my socks!
I love adding some socks to an outfit, I think they look cosy and wintery…
My shirt is from Urban Outfitters. I put it on my wishliast last year for Christmas and Santa saw it and made sure I got it on! Maggiiiiic.
And of course my Elephant necklace…
Only one more post to go and then Blogmas is over! It has been extremely fun, I hope you have enjoyed it just as much as me!
Have a lovely Christmas Eve x
Jeans: TopShop Tall
Bag: New Look
My sister graduated with a First Class Honors degree the other day at Leeds University.
It was a strange day, everyone was floating around in their big black gowns, I felt like I was on the set of Harry Potter! The sun was shining for the majority of the day too, making it even better, and everyone’s families were there, suited and booted and looking so proud – it was verrrryy cute.
The day before I’d been to the beach with my friends and at around 5 in the evening I got a phone call from my dad saying that we were going to Leeds that evening instead of the following morning. I rushed home, franticly threw a few things into a suitcase and we headed off.
We stayed at Headingley Stadium which was pretty cool, our rooms over looked the cricket ground.
The ceremony was fun. Everyone looked so serious and fancy in their gowns even the professors were swishing around, the whole pompousness was ace. I must admit though, I was jealous of some of their hats. I mean dayum, as if they can only wear them at important uni events!
We ate at the Slug and Lettuce for tea and if you haven’t been there I totally think you should go. The food is to die for, I’d recommend the cookie explosion for dessert. Heavenly.
In the evening we went to a little jazz bar and hung out there for a while. There was this band playing and everyone was having an awesome time, was a good vibe to round off the day.
My dress was from Lipsy, my sunglasses from Topshop and my shoes were from Dune…
I had a nightmare finding comfy shoes for the graduation. First I bought some from New Look and within the first five minutes of wearing them they had totally torn my ankles apart. They skipped right past the blister stage and just sliced into my ankles making them bleed. Soooo I had to go and buy some more,I pretty much tried on every sandal in town and they either rubbed on the cuts already made or didn’t fit. Then the last pair I tried on were the ones I got. Me and my sister had literally given up but on the way out of town we spotted these and they are soo comfy and real leather, and with them being in the sale, I couldn’t not get them!
Hat – MissSelfridge
T-shirt – TopShop
Kimono – NewLook
Shorts – Primark
Watch – Gift
Necklaces – Gifts
Not to mention the Bowie phone case, a Christmas present from my Aunty!
I was supposed to post this up around two weeks ago now, but I totally forgot! Everything is a little bit hectic here at the moment. Anyway, enjoy 🙂
I went to a fancy dress party the other night with my family. We totally rocked the Grease look!
My mum dressed as Rizzo, my sister was Sandy, my dad went as Kenickie and I was Frenchy .We looked awesome.
My outfit consisted of:
A Pink Ladies Jacket (obviously) – Purchased from Amazon.
A bright pink wig, which surprising looked okay – from the fancy dress shop, Smiffys
I stole a purple top from my sisters wardrobe.
I had a plain black bandanna tied around my neck,
Some white pumps (which I think were from Primark – I’ve had them for a long time now)
And my trouser leggings from Miss Selfridge!
I also wore some false eyelashes (Natural evening wear, Ultra Glam) from Eylure. This make is amazing. They look so natural and the line that the lashes are stuck to is almost invisible when you glue them on. Even if you can see where they’ve been glued you can easily disguise it with eyeliner, if it doesn’t already look like an eye liner line – which is great! They stay on well and tend to fit my eye shape without having to cut them and they’re so light. Once on you can hardly feel them.
The Party was ace … Check out the photos!
I can’t remember how long I’ve wanted a leather look jacket, but it has been for quite some time now and I feel as though I have forever been searching for the perfect one. It has to be a bomber. I’ve not really taken the the biker look … I think the zip straight up the front on a bomber is a lot more practical. It has to come in around the waist and the sleeves and I didn’t want it to have a hood. To me, this idea was the ultimate jacket. I didn’t realise how long it would take to find one! I must admit though, I was picky with the price. Begin a student I’ve been saving up my pennies for when I take that leap to university. Sure there was the ideal leather jacket online, but I wasn’t willing to pay over £80 odd for it, especially for leather look – I may as well have gone the extra mile to get a real leather jacket!
However, this search wont be taking over my shopping sprees any more. At the weekend I happened to stumble across the perfect leather look jacket in the men’s section of Primark.
Not only did it have everything I’d wanted it to (no hood, tight sleeves, zip up the centre), it was so cheap!
There was about six of them, all XS and all reduced!
From £23 they were now down to £10, I mean, I couldn’t say no. It was as though they’d put them out especially for me. With it being so cheap I am a little bit worried that it might go all crinkly and get a cracked look to it. But we will have to see what happens and I guess for only £10 I can’t complain.
Lets hope it sees me through ‘til the end of the summer.
Have you had any deals recently? ….

Here’s what I wore today! It’s a collaboration of some of my latest buys and some not so new buys too!
Let’s start from the top:
The black hat (that sort of looks like a riding cap) was from Zara which I bought in November of last year. I thought it was different because it has ears, which makes it extremely cute and also has that Japanese fashion sense about it too which is cool …
The pink blazer was a recent buy from New Look. I’ve wanted a blazer for quite some time and this seemed to fit the bill that I was looking for! It’s quite thin which means you can wear it if it’s warm, but you can pair it with a cardigan too and it doesn’t look bulky. The length is perfect as it comes down to just below my hips.
Underneath the blazer is a grey cardigan from H&M. This is there for extra warmth but I think it really goes with the blazer too. I love this cardigan as it’s long and warm! However, it’s made of wool and can sometimes be a bit itchy <<< 😦 … But as the saying goes, no pain no gain.
I recently picked my dress up from Primark for £13. I thought that was quite expensive for Primark but as a dress is practically a whole outfit I think it makes up for it. I love the design on this dress, it’s all girly with pink, green and yellow flowers. Even though it is floaty it’s still quite heavy – so I wont feel as though I have to hold it down when going out.
The watch I’m wearing is a Christmas present given to me by my parents. I love this watch! Not only does it do it’s job of telling the time, but it also acts as a bracelet as the strap wraps three times around my wrist causing it to cross over giving a bangle effect. It also has gold studs all down the strap which gives it a little bit of bling and brings it to life.
So, that’s my OOTD … What’s yours?
