If you’ve been reading my blog for quite some time, you will have come to realise that I am always questioning what I should be doing with my hair. Whether or not it’s growing it out from a bob, trying to get rid of my fringe, or just chopping off one whole side, it is pretty clear I am inconclusive with what hair style I want.
And this persists.
I’ve been contemplating dying my hair ginger, cutting it into a pixie cut or just leaving it to grow and see what happens. You see, I’m getting a little bit bored of having half a pixie cut and half long hair. Although I do loooovee my elf ear, because I’m at university (and don’t really know any good hairdressers around where I live) I have to wait around eight weeks before I get my hair seen to. This means that throughout these eight weeks, the short side of my hair gets floppier and floppier until I just end up having a comb over or a slap head. I’m not particularly fond of showing off my forehead, so having a slap is a complete no go area for me.
Because of this, I have come to the conclusion to try and grow out my hair. This is going to be one painstaking task, and is going to last forever! But I think that in the long run it will be better and less maintenance for me to keep up with – yes, I have officially become hair lazy.
In the meantime, I’m just going to have to put up with a number of hairstyles.
At the weekend, I decided to cut my hair into a full fringe so that I no longer have to suffer the slap. The side that I chopped off is now around all one length (kind of like a realllyyy short bob) so hopefully it will just grow down without me having to take the scissors to the other side.
I think I will let it grow for a while now and hopefully by the end of summer I will have enough hair on the short side to allow me to equal out the other side.
I’m aiming for a shoulder length bob and then just allowing it to grow back into its old style.
We shall have to wait and see what happens, I mean, by then I might get bored of growing it and change my mind completely as to what hairstyle I want.
Let me know what you think of my new fringe, and my decision to grow out the style.
