I had such a disaster yesterday.
I woke up with good intentions: have a shower, go into Manchester, come back home and begin reading for my essay. But it all went to pot!
I had a shower, which went absolutely freezing and I kind of just quickly washed my hair and hurried out. But hey, I wasn’t complaining, it is university and I have to admit that was my first bad shower here.
My hair was dripping wet so I needed to blow dry it, however halfway through drying my hair all of the electricity in my room goes out and I’m left in darkness not really knowing what to do. I remember people saying that this has happened to them before so I didn’t panic, I just searched my room for some kind of switch. After around five minutes I finally find it, high above my bed in the corner of my room. I struggle to reach, flick it up and ta dah, there is electricity! Going back to finish my hair, I turn on the hairdryer and nothing happens. I waited and tried again but still, there was no sign of a working hairdryer.
I had an hour before I was going to Manchester which gave plenty of time for my hair to dry naturally. Anyway when the time came to leave, I put on a coat and my watch got caught on the sleeve and fell off my wrist. I actually couldn’t believe it. I picked it up off the floor and the strap had broken. I was devastated. My mum and dad had bought it me for Christmas last year, I guess it had done pretty well lasting this long, but still, it had sentiment and with being at uni and feeling a little bit homesick a broken watch felt like the end of the world. But I was going into Manchester so I could always search for a new one.
Luckily enough I knew where my parents had gotten it from. Last year me and my mum were shopping in the Trafford Centre and I saw it in Claire’s Accessories. I pointed it out to my mum and she convinced me not to buy it. I didn’t even think twice, but there on Christmas day was this gorgeous watch in my stocking.
I know I say it was from Claire’s Accessories and you’re probably thinking it looks quite young, but it’s actually really lovely. The strap is so long that you can wrap it around your wrist twice making it more into a bracelet than a watch.
With it being brown it goes with everything and the strap is so thin and subtle that it gives the piece such a delicate girly look.
I absolutely love this watch so when I went into Claire’s yesterday I was over the moon to see that they still had it in stock! I mean what are the chances of them still having it in after a year?
Without even having to think, I bought the watch and put it on straight away. I was so happy!
If you’d like to buy the watch you can get it on the Claire’s Accessories website here. Start your Christmas shopping early, it makes a great present!
